Job Context
  • To look after overall accounting and financial matter of Akij Bakers, Flour, Textile & Printing.
Job Responsibilities
  • Assess organizational performance against both the annual budget and company's long-term strategy;
  • Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the Management and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations.
  • Oversee long-term budgetary planning and costs management in alignment with the goal of the organization.
  • Prepare and maintain regular financial planning reports; Monthly profit and loss forecast.
  • Supervise and ensure of preparation of month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial statements;
  • Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations and corporate/overhead cost allocation;
  • Complete analysis of financial results; Develop recommendations, both strategic and tactical;
  • Develop and maintain capital budget;
  • Oversee cash flow planning, ensure availability of funds as needed, financing strategies & activities, as well as banking relationships;
  • Handle all Banking activities including handling of Foreign Remittances;
  • Handle Tax Holiday, Board of Investment (BOI) and Bangladesh issues;
  • Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems;
  • Maintain appropriate insurance coverage;
  • Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile;
  • Monitor the development and compliance of budgets;
  • Develop financial business plans and forecasts;
  • Any other assignment to be assigned by the management from time to time

  • Bachelor/Equivalent, Bachelor of Commerce (BCom)
  • Masters, Master of Commerce (MCom)
  • Master of Commerce (MCom)
  • FCA/FCMA
  • Public or Nation University,
